Quid Pro Quo? NY Senate’s Artfully Vague Request MAY Muddy the Waters

The ongoing battle between Eva Moskovitz and Mayor de Blasio took another turn in Albany where the convoluted governance of pre-Kindergarten opened the door for Ms. Moskovitz’ Success Academy to possibly circumvent regulations the city was imposing to ensure that all teachers were certified. I won’t try to capture the complicated web of governance described in Kate Taylor’s NYTimes account of correspondence between the NYS Republican Senate leader and neoliberal Governor Cuomo, but after reading the article I believe that any reasonably minded individual would conclude that Ms. Moskovitz is attempting to collect on her campaign contributions… contributions that ultimately came from taxpayers’ pockets.
