The CNN report linked at the conclusion of this post describes the conduct of a critical mass of citizens who hijacked a recent school board meeting to peddle misinformation on the district’s teaching of Critical Race Theory. The basis for the parents’ contention was that they “knew” it was happening even though they could offer no evidence and the district flatly denied it.

Here’s the question: is this parent group an anomaly or is the Loudon County School District giving us a sneak preview of coming attractions across the country? With wealthy people funding disinformation with the desire to undercut government at all levels and public education in particular I fear it is the latter.
