When Budgets Are Debated, No One Speaks for the Buildings

The title of this post is a quote from a business manager who worked for me and lamented that whenever budgets were debated parents advocated for programs that supported their children, for athletics, for more teachers, and More bus stops… and taxpayers wanted low costs… but no one spoke up for the buildings. As this article notes, the same thing is playing out at the national level.
